MYBLUEPLANET is an independent, non-profit organization based in Winterthur, Switzerland, dedicated to concrete climate protection in Switzerland. As a leading climate protection organization, we develop innovative projects that enable our partners - individuals, companies, schools and communities - to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within their sphere of influence. Our strength and motivation are based on our agility in developing new activities and establishing them with the aim of accompanying Switzerland on the path to net zero. In doing so, we attach great importance to the digitalization of our organization and our activities. Why MYBLUEPLANET is needed
Never before has global climate change been so noticeable as in recent years. Glaciers are melting, biodiversity is suffering and extreme weather events are increasing all over the world. It is high time to act decisively and sustainably. This is what Daniel Lüscher, founder of MYBLUEPLANET, thought after seeing the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" in New York. Back in Switzerland, he rounded up some friends and started an initiative of citizens who want to contribute to climate protection in their own lives.
Since its founding in 2007, the association has grown steadily and has even outgrown itself. MYBLUEPLANET now employs over 20 people at the office and is supported by an ever-growing community of volunteers. This has enabled us to implement climate protection activities in all regions and corners of Switzerland and to remain locally anchored.
