MYBLUEPLANET: Active together for a climate-friendly tomorrow
Our mission is to encourage people in Switzerland to act in a climate-friendly way so that together we can create a livable future. To achieve this goal, we focus on using the power of the community to achieve long-term and sustainable change in all our engagements.
For concrete climate protection in Switzerland
Founded in 2007 as an independent non-profit association out of a citizens' movement, we are one of the leading Swiss climate protection organizations. Our focus is on active climate protection in Switzerland. Together with our partners (communities, cantons, companies, schools, individuals) we develop and implement innovative projects. We now employ over 20 people in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland and are supported by around 150 volunteers. In this way, our national climate protection efforts remain locally anchored.
Motivating everyone to join in
It is particularly important to us to motivate people for climate protection in a positive way and to inspire them to protect our beautiful planet. To achieve this, we rely on concrete approaches to solutions and strengthening of the community. Everyone can start somewhere and then continue making improvements. In this way, we accompany everyone on their journey to net zero.
Climate protection in all areas
If we want to successfully protect the climate, as many people, organizations and communities as possible must start at many points. Together, many small steps will lead to success. Based on research, we focus on the topics that provide the greatest leverage, including consumption, education, energy, environmental protection, housing, mobility, and nutrition. It is our goal to support everyone in reducing their individual carbon footprints.
